Night Snorkeling

The Sea at Night

LobsterAs the sun starts to set, the denizens of the deep, make ready for the arrival of darkness.

Those animals too timid to exit during the day, now leave their havens in search of food. Moray eels forage the reefs looking for some of thier favorite prey; sleeping parrotfish.

At night the corals now deprived of sunlight, extend their sticky polyps to capture the passing zoo plankton.

Tour Program

LionfishThis tour starts at 18:30 p.m. and is preceded with an indepth briefing regarding nocturnal species and procedures for snorkeling at night.

After a short boat ride guests enter the water and follow our snorkeling guide for between 1-1.5 hours.

Guests are each provided with underwater flashlights. At which time guests search for lobsters, crustaceans, moray eels, baracudas and at the end experience the bioilluminecent plankton which is present every night.

 

Price includes: Underwater flashlight, Wetsuit, Mask and snorkel, fins, and divemaster.
